Concerned you have BIA-ALCL?

What should I do, how can I get tested?

Although BIA-ALCL is rare, the current risk is 1 in 50,000 patients that have a breast implant, whether the implant was from reconstruction after a mastectomy or breast augmentation, a woman is at risk for this cancer. This information should be shared with your doctor. The FDA and the guidelines set forth by the Joint ASPS & ASAPS recommend the CD30 immunohistochemistry test. The approximate current cost for a CD30 test should be around $300, sometimes through research the cost will be less.
