This year’s Hope with Hoses and Handbags was excellent! I hope everyone who attended had as much fun as I did, and I’m proud to announce together we raised more than $8,300 in one evening! I want to thank everyone who helped put this successful event together; it’s incredible what we can do when we have a common goal.
For the first time at Hope with Hoses and Handbags, we asked ladies to bring a gently-used purse to donate to the Perseverance Foundation Touch of Hope – Purse Project. The Perseverance Foundation collects bags to help women who have suffered some form of abuse. They fill them with essentials and distribute them to state-wide shelters and crisis organizations as well as law enforcement agencies. We collected 89 purses this year!!! How amazing is that ?!?! We noticed some even donated designer bags that the organization includes on a silent auction at their Summer Jam annual fundraiser.
The sold-out Hope with Hoses and Handbags raises money go to provide awareness of the dangers associated with breast implants, help people rise-up through their cancer battles, and purchase much-needed equipment for the Hermann fire department.
I want to say a special thank you to all the volunteers that helped make this event so successful every year. Without the support and dedication of these volunteers, the fundraiser wouldn’t be so successful.
Mark your calendars, the 2021 date is already being planned. Save-the-date, Thursday, February 25, tickets will go on sale in December. Hope to see you then!
