I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and you were able to spend quality time with family. My holiday was awesome. I did work a little bit on Christmas eve, but once I was home it was all about my family. Now I’m reflecting on 2019 and feverishly writing my new year’s resolutions.
As I look over what was accomplished this year, I can check several boxes:
- A healthier 2019 — well, I did have a bit of a rollercoaster ride on that this year, but I’m ending on a high note!
- Spend more time with family — this is always one of my goals and I always wish I could spend more time with them 🙂
- To be more fierce — fierce with advocating for women who have or had BIA-ALCL, fierce in supporting those fighting cancer, and fierce in my faith. So much was accomplished in the BIA-ALCL world this year: the recall and removal of Allergan textured implants, the 1st World Consensus Conference on BIA-ALCL, and the opportunity to continue the fight at two plastic surgery conferences (ASPS and ASAPS). I could not have done it without my faith, my family and your support and dedication! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!
So what’s on tap for the new decade, 2020? The fight is not over and I will continue to educate, advocate, and motivate! My 2020 word of the year will be DEVOTED! I want to be more devoted to my family and friends, my health, my faith, and my advocacy for BIA-ALCL. Stay tuned, 2020 is going to be an amazing year!
Wishing every day of the new year to be filled with success, happiness, good health and prosperity for you, happy new year.
XOXO,
Raylene
