Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer

A huge impact in the lives of Hermann residents fighting cancer has come from the organization, Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer. They hold several fundraisers throughout the year which allows them to provide funds to those families in the area that need help with gas, food, or other necessities during a family’s struggle with cancer.

Just Call Me Ray and the Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer have partnered up on several occasions over the years where they split the funds raised at the events. The Ray Day 5K and Top it off to Cancer are two great examples of pooling their resources to make the biggest impact in the community.

The Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer is a 501 (c)(3) organization founded in 2005 and is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

Adam Puchta Winery

Adam Puchta Winery is the oldest, family winery in the country. It has been in the Puchata family since 1855 and today the 7^th generation has started taking the reins. Adam Puchta Winery is an incredible supporter of Just Call Me Ray. They have opened their doors to welcome those who have been affected by cancer and give their full support.

In 2010 Adam Puchta Winery created an event called Doe Camp it started off as an event that catered to women wanting their own event during Missouri’s deer hunting season. Then just a few short years later they made Doe Camp as a fundraiser for the Just Call Me Ray organization along with raising money for the Hermann Area Crusade Against Cancer. Since 2014, Adam Puchta Winery has donated more than $35,125 to Just Call Me Ray!

Shining Hope Guest House

Giving hope to families is a big part of Just Call Me Ray. We have met people who have been on their cancer journey for quite a while and we do our best to give them hope in their struggle. One of the ways we are helping is giving them a night away for them, their spouses and their families.

Our goal in teaming up with Shining Hope Guest House is to allow families a night to enjoy each other and have hope for the future. Every year we sponsor several families and provide them with a night stay in this comfortable setting, continental breakfast and a catered dinner.

Shining Hope Guest House is a beautiful house set on the Katy Trail near Hermann, MO. It is open to all visitors and provides accommodations for 4 couples and offers a great respite from the pressures of daily life.
